Documents Required

Documents Required: To be accepted by an American university, different documents are needed depending on the field or level of education but the following documents are generally needed:

small1 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR B.A.

  1. Official translation of Diploma or pre-university diploma and transcripts
  2. Language diploma is not needed but in case of not attending language class of university, TOEFL scores at least 70 in IBT ,500 in PBT or 6.5 in IELTS.
  3. Copy of passport first page(if there is no passport copy of ID card)
  4. Resume or CV in English
  5. Sending work profile in English for art , graphic or architecture student

 

small1 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR M.A.

  1. Official translation of B.A. degree and 4 years transcripts
  2. Copy of TOEFL scores at least 90 in IBT , 550 in PBT or 7 in IELTS
  3. Copy of passport first page(if there is no passport copy of ID card)
  4. Approval of essays in English
  5. Last page copy of Thesis
  6. Resume or CV in English
  7. Letters of recommendation (academic references) from three (3) professors or instructors
  8. Copy of GRE/GMAT (if you have)
  9. Statement of purpose

small1 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR PhD

  1. Official translation of B.A. degree and
  2. Copy of TOEFL scores at least 90 in IBT , 550 in PBT or 7 in IELTS
  3. Copy of GRE/GMAT (if you have)
  4. Letters of recommendation (academic references) from at least four professors or instructors
  5. Research proposal of the field in PHD
  6. Official translation of last page of Thesis
  7. Resume or CV in English
  8. Approval of published scientific survey (if you have)
  9. Official translation of all educational documents
  10. Copy of passport first page(if there is no passport copy of ID card)
  11. Statement of purpose
  12. University may ask you an essay

small1 TRANSCRIPTS

Valid transcripts of the last degree is necessary. If the original paper is in Persian it should be translated. The last term student or those whose scores are not released ,for primary steps of acceptance should send certificate of the dean that validates informal scores. After acceptance the official scores should be included.

small1 RECOMMENDATION LETTERS

Recommendation Letters are very important part of your process. these recommendation letters should be written by those instructors who have good educational and professional relation with you. Universities may ask 2 or 3 recommendation letters. Give these form to those who know you well,and will write about your skills and advantages. The letter should include the duration of familiarity, your ability and why you are eligible to receive loan from university. Don’t forget that the admission committee wants to know that if you are suitable for the university or that field. The latter is important for PHD students.

small1 STATE OF PURPOSE

This section is probably the most difficult one. You will describe who you are, what experience you have, why you are interested to study in that university or that field and what your attitude for the future is. In other words you persuade the committee to prefer you to others. You should clearly show what you apply, what your motivation is and what you want to gain and how you will be helpful for the university

small1 C.V.

One of the effective ways to get educational position in America is having good relations. That’s why providing a good C.V. is effective to be accepted. Some universities have standard forms to be filled. however it is the students job to fill it best. One of the key points is to mention the education experience and researches in the first page. If the C.V. is to get a career position_ it’s called “resume” -first you should talk about professional experience.
